Senita Lenear, a 14-year employee with Blue Cross Blue Shield / Blue Care
Network of MI, is a board member of Student Advancement Foundation - a
non-profit organization designed to assist with funding programs to meet the
needs of the Grand RapidsPublicSchool District. She is the founder of the
My Body is a Temple program, which helps teens and young adults to
discover the benefits of sexual abstinence before marriage.
Senita is an alumnus of GR Creston High. She is also a summa cum laude
graduate of Cornerstone University with a Bachelor's in Business
Management and minor in Ministry Leadership. She is an actively-involved
parent of a GRPS student. Senita is a member of New Hope Baptist Church
where her husband Dallas Lenear serves as Executive Pastor.
Senita was appointed to the GRPS Board of Education in October 2007.
During this tenure, she has learned that tough decisions have to be made to
successfully impact the educational experience for GRPS students. Senita
has found that her progressive business and board experience, innovative
thinking, passion for education and dedication to the cause make her an
asset to the board.
Senita believes the community's future leaders deserve an advocate for their success. The faculty requires support and
tools to successfully meet the needs of State and Federal regulations. Senita understands those needs and is making
the best decision with the resources entrusted to the board by its constituents. Senita is willing to continue to support our
future leaders!
