The Issues

All students in GRPS have the ability to achieve

Parental involvement is a major ingredient in students’ academic success

The teachers in GRPS have the passion needed to help students achieve

GRPS has the most diverse choices in academic opportunities among West Michigan school districts

It takes a village to raise future leaders

More parents and students would chose GRPS if they knew about the academic, social and athletic opportunities afforded them via GRPS

We should look for ways to level the field as it relates to dollars spent, per pupil, across school districts in our region

All parties who impact our future leaders – parents, students, administration, board and teachers – should be held accountable

Our future leaders are best supported when all parties put students’ interests first

We must prepare our future leaders to compete in a global economy

Students want to be challenged academically

Commitment to

Our schools are faced with the following challenges:

  • Preparing our young people for the new global economy
  • Helping them acquire specialized skills and training that will allow them to compute successfully

My commitment to the students of the district:

  • To be ethical in my behavior
  • Open and approachable
  • Accountable for my actions and decisions
  • Service-minded
  • Always keeping the students and their families as my first priority.
